Inherited my grandmother's deck. It feels heavy to use
Found my grandmother's old tarot deck while cleaning out her house. Hand-worn edges, one card missing. I've been reading for years but THIS deck feels different in my hands, like there's weight to it. Anyone else read with an inherited deck? Do you do anything special before using it?

I read with my mom's old deck. the first few readings felt like talking to her, even though she's still alive
some people do a little 'hello' spread first, just to introduce yourself. I did that with mine and it helped
the missing card is part of its story now. don't try to replace it with one from another deck

mine felt heavy too at first. after a month it just felt like home. give it time
keep the box it came in. the smell alone is half the reading 🌙
